2024—ongoing

Durational Performance

Performed and exhibited at 11m3 and Tusche Galerie for Blurred Edges in April 2025, Weimar, Germany.

A second iteration of the work was performed at Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst Leipzig (GfZK) in May 2025 for the Long Night of Museums, Leipzig, Germany.

Artist at Work is a durational performance in which the artist fully embodies their role as a self-sustaining machine of creativity, an individual optimized for survival in the liberal market: always online, always available, always selling, always working.
The performance aims to question the precarious nature of artistic labor, the erasure of boundaries between life and work, and the exhaust
ing expectation that artists function as self-contained brands. In doing so, the artist becomes the perfect capitalist worker, one who actively self-exploits in pursuit not only of success but of everyday survival. As a 9 to 5 job, the artist produces a receipt of variable dimension, a product of the day.
In its first iteration the artist produced Legacy (2025), which reflects on her own generational trauma as part of a working class migrant family, tracing her own lineage of class struggle and care work. The receipt is 163 cm long, the artist's height.

The second iteration of the work presented at GfZK was part of the performance Formel: Marionette by Prof. Suse Weber in the frame of the exhibition “Dynamic Spaces” at the GfZK – Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst. The Manifesto of the Exhausted Artist and Legacy were on show there until November 2025.
