Performative actions and scenography

Order without Order was a series of performative actions developed as an institutional counter-protocol made up of fictional and anecdotal scenographies. These took into account the history of the factory both as a site for capitalistic manufacturing and a site for knowledge production currently undergoing a dismantling. Now coexisting in a fluid temporality through a chain of purposely ineffective gestures, exhausted fires and self-appointed absences.
These actions enacted an institutional language —that of meticulously silencing and erasing— yet in their unfinished character they speak of past breaks and open-ended futures; subverting these initial violent means into an embodied sense of agency. Who encountered them gained the power of speculating their multiple outcomes.
The afterlife of these actions is now situated within the institution in which we currently operate, under a discontinued program that provided a space for speculation. Its documentation wishes to reflect on what gets hygienically erased and what can become a self-inflicted sign that can collectively be carried and instrumentalized against infrastructures of power.
